From very early on, I always asked ‘why?’ and ‘how?’ questions in any field that attracted me. This curiosity allows me to look at reality from different perspectives. Combine that with a passion for solving problems and attention to data, and voila - I am Michał, and I work at Tidio as a Product Manager.
What does “Grow with Tidio” mean to you?
It means that every single day is an opportunity to learn something new. Being a Product Manager means working with engineers, analysts, designers, salespeople, marketers, support teams, and most importantly, customers! Each interaction fuels my curiosity and hunger for knowledge.
What was the turning point where you knew you 'had to have the job' at Tidio?
I wouldn’t say that it was prior to landing a job in Tidio. Every company tries to show itself as a great place to work, with great processes and outlook. When you enter a new job, you verify what has been said. I learned a lot about Tidio during the first 90 days. And with Tidio, I was amazed by the product management process. The autonomy of teams, focus on discovery, focus on impact, and alignment with strategy are things that other companies can learn from Tidio a lot.
At Tidio, we can work 100% remotely, and we also have access to our two offices in Szczecin and Warsaw. What is your favorite way of working?
Hybrid. No doubt about it. It really depends on the type of job I have to do. The other thing, and I think it is not emphasized enough in the debate about remote vs. office, is the need for social interaction. I am a person who, to rejuvenate myself, needs to interact with people. Doing it over Zoom does not work, but a day in the office works miracles.
What 3 words would you use to describe Tidio to someone?
Transparency - in over 10 years of my career, I have never seen a company with such a level of transparency and honesty.
Challenging - market space Tidio operates in is crowded, customers are demanding, and resources are limited. So the job requires you to be on top of your game. However…
Joy - Solving customer problems brings so much satisfaction. Also, I love working with Tidioers. This is a bunch of fantastic people, and I love spending time with them.
What is your favorite part of your role?
The best thing about Product Management is that it combines so many different functions. You cannot be bored. I am a generalist, so changing hats is not an issue. It is also my natural curiosity to be fed every day. On one day, I am an analyst; on the other researcher; on the third, I am pitching ideas.
What are your hobbies? What do you love to do after work?
I just love trying new things!
