Hi! I'm Krzysztof!
I work as a Senior Product Security Engineer, focusing on securing applications and systems from their initial stages by implementing security processes, automation and testing for attack vectors. My role also involves enhancing business resilience against threats in the application landscape.
With a background in Quality Assurance, I incorporate a broad perspective on security as a key quality component. I am an avid supporter of OWASP projects, which enrich my approach to effective application security.
In my free time, I relax by cycling. It's a great way to clear my mind, enjoy the outdoors, and stay active.

Any tips for someone looking to get into a career like yours?
In my opinion, the most important step for someone looking to get into a career like mine is to seek out a mentor. Having a mentor can significantly accelerate your learning process and provide invaluable insights from their experiences. I had the fortune of meeting Andrzej Dyjak, my mentor, who, to a great extent, allowed me to spread my wings initially.
What's a common myth about your professional field that you'd like to bust?
The biggest myth about cybersecurity is the belive that we should evaluate apps, products, and systems in a binary way - either something is secure, or it isn't. In reality, security operates on a spectrum of greyscale, encompassing many values that largely depend on the business context. Thus, we consider the aspect of risk and threats in relation to the environment, rather than applying a one-size-fits-all measure.
